Our Governors
The Governors at West Wimbledon work in partnership with Merton Council and the school community to provide the best possible education for the children at the school.
The Governing Body comprises thirteen governor positions. When required, new governors are appointed based on the added value of the skills and experience they bring to the governing body. We currently have three vacancies and welcome expressions of interest from individuals who would like to contribute to the strategic leadership and continued success of the school.
Parents, former parents, community volunteers, staff and local business people are represented on the governing body. The governing body meets formally as a whole committee at least four times a year, and each of our four committees (Standards; Teaching and Learning; Pupils and Community; and HR and School Business) meets once a term. All governors also visit the school regularly to inform their work and monitor their focus areas.
